Myself and a small team were commissioned by Source Festival In Maui to create an interactive installation piece. We collectively decided to create an immersive piece where participants were able to control the placement of sound and projection art using hand gestures being detected by an ‘Xbox Connect’. We called the piece ‘Cubix’ and participants standing within it could raise one hand to control the surrounding audio volume, whilst the other hand was changing the cubes color. Leading up to the festival, our team coordinated logistics such as budget, setup, transportation, and overall expectations with the festival organizers. Below are pictures and a short video demonstrating the completed ‘Cubix’.
Pacific Domes at Mystic Garden Festival
I worked with Pacific Domes to construct an immersive ‘Sound Healing’ geodesic dome experience at the Mystic Garden Festival in Oregon. The primary purpose of the dome acted as a central location for workshops, performances, and meditations throughout the duration of the festival. As the lead producer, my job included working with festival organizers to find and coordinate performers, interior design, and workshops, as well as set up and tear down of the dome. Below are pictures demonstrating the final ‘Sound Healing’ experience.
